Services / Events

Please note:- During December some events may stop or change.

The 8 a.m. Service follows the Book of Common Prayer and there is no sermon.  The service lasts 30 minutes and is respectful and reflective in character.

The 10 a.m. Service follows the Common Worship liturgy with a sermon.  During term time the children leave part of the service to follow their own Godly Play programme.  The service lasts for around 60 minutes and is friendly and encouraging in character.  After each service, there is tea, coffee and biscuits.  On the 4th Sunday of each month, we have a robed choir.

The 10 a.m. Family Service (3rd Sunday only) is led by the St. Peter’s Church Band and is relaxed and informal in character.  The service lasts around 50 minutes and again is followed by refreshments.  New band members are always welcome!!

Sung Evensong at 6 p.m. only happens on the 3rd Sunday of the month and is reflective and sacred in character.   We are supported in this service by a choir.  This service lasts around 75 minutes and the choir practice starts at 5 p.m.  We are always appreciative of new choir members.

Wednesday mid-week service at 11:30 a.m. is a space to stop and pause and this service is held in the side chapel of the Church.  This service last 30 minutes.    There is a shared Community Lunch at 12 noon on the First Wednesday of every month - all are welcome.

Home Communion and Home Visitation. It is not always possible to come to church due to sickness or other reasons.  If you would like to receive Home Communion or for someone from the pastoral care team to visit you then please do contact us and this can be arranged.

Cafe. We welcome you to our regular Cafe times at the Church. They are held Monday mornings (9:30-11:30 a.m.) and Thursday afternoons (2.30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.),

The Mondays are aimed at pre-school children and there is a story time at 9:30 a.m. and Afternoon Tea on the Thursdays as well as various thriving activities you can get involved with.  Or you can simply enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with a piece of cake, or biscuits.
